What Now

There is a new world order, a new political reality. As we reflect on where we stand as a nation and as persons of faith we must reaffirm what is means love God and neighbor. According to Pope Francis, if we wish to advance the understanding of an "integral ecology" the interdependence of all of creation we must, as human beings living under political and social system, must be willing to practice and encourage a culture of encounter, the rejection of human indifference, the option for the poor and marginalized, care of our environment, and an ethos that values persons over capital and rejects economies that kill human lives. We as people of faith, the people of God, must always embrace the supernatural grace of Hope that is a bright horizon, which though we cannot see beyond, continues to draw us forward.
