Lent

Lent begins with Jesus being driven by the Spirit into the wilderness.
The Spirit drove is a very Lenten idea.  Lent is a time of being driven to remember that human life is short and we have much to prepare for. It is a time to be driven by the Spirit to a new openness, true repentance and to ongoing conversion. It is a time that the Holy Spirit drives us forward often into unchartered territory, sometimes even into the wilderness. We are driven, but never abandoned.
Lent us be open to the Spirit to drive us where we need to go; to learn, to understand, to remember, to service, and to love.We are driven into the wilderness ready to be healed and renewed through the Church's penitential Lenten nature for we remember that Lent holds the promise of Easter.
